Beautiful week up on the East Coast visiting friends, family, and of course, all of the college campuses I can!

Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts is a gorgeous women’s college that is built on the idea that “educating women leads to progress for everyone”

Babson College also in Wellesley, Massachusetts is a private business school specializing in building the next generation of entrepreneurial leaders.

College fit is always on the top of my mind for my students & their families. Being able to travel to 200+ & counting campuses has helped me find the best fit for them!

The microcredential boom isn’t accidental. It’s the result of real market forces. Employers are shifting to skills-based hiring. Traditional degrees cost more than ever. And the job market is moving faster than any curriculum can keep up with.

Some of the most meaningful moments at conferences like annual conference are the conversations happening between sessions.

So special reconnecting with Amy Mohr, Associate Director of Admission at (my alma mater!) and Susan Mantilla-Goin, Dean of Enrollment Management at , where my daughter Alexandra graduated.

Two incredible schools that played important roles in our family’s journey, and reminders of why relationship-building matters so much in the world of school admissions. Visiting campuses, talking with admissions leaders, and staying connected to these communities helps me better guide families through the process with insight that goes beyond brochures and rankings!

Took a quick pit stop at while on my way to 50th annual Conference in Baltimore!

Campus visits are one of the most valuable parts of the work I do because seeing a school in person tells you so much more than rankings ever can. Walking through Johns Hopkins University, you quickly get a feel for the type of student who thrives here: curious, driven, independent, and excited by challenge.

If your family wants guidance finding schools that truly fit your student, send me a message to learn more about working together!

My take on in the college admissions process…🤖

For families with incoming juniors: this is your sign to start early!

Starting junior year with a clear plan means less overwhelm, better organization, stronger applications, and more confidence throughout the process. The students who feel the most confident senior year are usually the ones who started preparing junior year. Now is the time to build the roadmap!

In my work with students and adults navigating education and career decisions, one pattern is clear: very few careers follow a straight line.

Roles evolve. Industries shift. Job titles appear and disappear.

What carries people forward are durable skills…capacities that transfer across roles and contexts. These include critical thinking, communication, adaptability, problem-solving, and accountability.

Small liberal arts colleges don’t bolt these skills on at the end. They embed them into the structure of the experience itself—through discussion-based classes, independent projects, close faculty relationships, and an expectation that students take ownership of their learning.

“Both of my kids came to me separately to tell me what a savior this program was…”

This is why I do what I do.

The college process can feel overwhelming, not just for students, but for families trying to support them through it. Hearing that both students felt more confident, supported, and clear in their decisions means everything.

And maybe the most telling part?

They saw their peers struggling… while they felt guided. If your family is heading into this process, you don’t have to figure it out alone.

Why 🍀might matter more than you think…

At University of Notre Dame, this iconic mural on the Hesburgh Libraries has become part of the school’s identity, and students love it.

And that’s the thing about college visits…It’s not always the stats or rankings that stick. It’s the traditions, the stories, the little moments that make a place feel right.

Those “small” details? They’re often what make the !

Choosing the right college isn’t just about where your student gets in, it’s about where they’ll thrive.

Over the past 3 years, my students have seen an 85%+ average acceptance rate, backed by 18+ years of experience and insights from 200+ campus visits across the country.

This process can feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate it alone.

If your student is heading into junior year, now is the time to start building a smart, balanced college list; send me a dm if you're interest in me helping you begin!
