In remembrance of TSU alumna Senator Thelma Harper, a portion of Clarksville Pike has been officially designated as Senator Thelma Harper Parkway.

For more than three decades, Senator Harper championed the Nashville community while remaining a steadfast advocate for Tennessee State University. This designation serves as a permanent reminder of her leadership, service, and enduring impact on Tennessee and beyond.

As we reflect on Vintagers Alumni Reunion Weekend, we’re still celebrating the incredible impact of the Golden Class of 1976 and Vintager classes across Tennessee State University.

TSU President Dwayne Tucker congratulates Cohort 5 members of the Dr. Levi Watkins Jr. Institute as they begin shadowing healthcare professionals at ! 🥼💙

The experience is part of TSU’s accelerated pathway program, which prepares qualified students for seamless matriculation into medical school.

Now in its 5th year, the institute has supported 20+ students on their journey to medical school. 🩺
