When in Rome! (And Naples and Florence!)

A group of our rising 9th graders had the trip of a lifetime in Italy – we’ll let you decide what left a bigger impression: the ancient history and stunning architecture, or the pizza and gelato. A huge thank you to the Wilson family for making this trip possible.

Rising seniors Kevin Li and Brash Cook recently represented MBA on an international stage after qualifying for the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF), the world’s largest pre-college STEM competition.

The pair earned their spot at ISEF after placing second at the Middle Tennessee Science and Engineering Fair (MTSEF), held at Belmont University earlier this spring. Their project focused on robotics and artificial intelligence, specifically exploring how robots could be trained in simulation environments before being deployed in the real world.

Shortly after school let out, a group of our Junior School students made their way to Guatemala. Working alongside Squads Abroad and the municipality of Zaragoza, they built a handwashing station at the Puerta Abajo Village School and taught local kids proper handwashing techniques. When the boys weren’t working, they cooked tortillas, learned to make pottery and chocolate, sang karaoke, boated across Lake Atitlán, and visited beautiful Antigua. What a week of service and adventure!

The countdown to alumni status: 2 days!!!

Today’s Senior Mother-Son Luncheon was the perfect way to celebrate before the big day. We can’t wait for our seniors to wear their new hats officially as MBA alumni!
