Educational birthday parties are a blast! My #1 rule with kids is that if they see a snake in the wild they should keep their distance and get an adult before approaching or touching. Allowing them to touch snakes that can’t hurt them in a controlled setting helps rid the curiosity factor that can make that rule hard to follow.

Alright ya’ll! I’m going to keep trying your suggestions to see if a snake will be 100% deterred from crossing any chemical barrier. All I can tell you is that I haven’t found one yet. If it fails once, it’s not worth it.
I’ve said it a hundred times….there are no effective snake repellants, if you think your idea works I’d be more than happy to test it out for you.
Bull snakes are one of my favorite native non-venomous species. They are great to have around due to their active pursuit of rodents. They have been rumored to eat rattlesnakes but that is a very rare occurrence.
