Every contribution, regardless of size, serves a greater purpose. Your gifts help provide scholarships for deserving young men, strengthen summer and academic programming, support campus priorities, and grow the endowment that will sustain our institution.
As we celebrate this year's success, let us continue building upon this momentum. Our mission is ongoing, and every gift helps unlock opportunity for the young men entrusted to our care. If you missed Give Purple Day, there is still time to make an impact and be part of this year's legacy of giving.
Together, we are building something far greater than a single day of generosity. We are building the future of St. Augustine High School and with your continued partnership, that future will be bright, bold, and worthy of the generations of Purple Knights yet to come.

Seventy-five years ago, on London Avenue between Hope and Law Streets, the Josephite Priests and Brothers planted a seed of faith, excellence, discipline, and opportunity. What began as a bold vision for educating young Black men became one of the most influential institutions in the nation.
For three-quarters of a century, St. Augustine has been far more than a school. It has been a proven training ground for leadership, a sanctuary of brotherhood, and a beacon of hope. From boardrooms to courtrooms, pulpits to classrooms, hospitals to city halls, Purple Knights have left an indelible mark on every profession imaginable. They have become CEOs, entrepreneurs, university presidents, educators, clergy, public servants, military leaders, and community champions. Their accomplishments tell a remarkable story, but their impact tells an even greater one.
Now, it is time to celebrate that legacy.
We are proud to announce the official Save the Date for the St. Augustine High School 75th Anniversary Diamond Jubilee Celebration, taking place on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the renowned Caesars Superdome.
This once-in-a-generation event will bring together Purple Knights, families, supporters, and friends to honor the men who built our legacy, celebrate those carrying it forward, and inspire those who will shape our future. It will be an evening filled with reflection, recognition, entertainment, and pride: a celebration worthy of 75 years of distinction.
As we begin this historic journey, we are honored to announce the Patrick F. Taylor Foundation as the Legacy Partner for our Diamond Jubilee Celebration through a transformational gift of $100,000. Their longstanding commitment to education and opportunity makes them an ideal partner as we commemorate this extraordinary milestone.
For every Purple Knight who ever walked the halls of St. Augustine, for every parent who entrusted us with their son, and for every supporter who believes in our mission, this celebration belongs to you.
Mark your calendars. Call your classmates. Make your travel plans. Get your black ties and gowns ready.
This is more than an anniversary. It is the celebration of a legacy.
Let’s continue to transform boys into men, forge men of distinction and witness them change the world.

Today, St. Augustine High School proudly announces the creation of the Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. Golf Architect Endowed Scholarship Fund.
The late Joseph M. Bartholomew, Sr. was a pioneering golf course architect whose legacy lives on through the historic golf course he designed in Pontchartrain Park and his enduring impact on the game of golf in New Orleans and beyond.
In a proud tribute to his grandfather's legacy, Gregg DeMar '72 and his wife Hyacinth Rodney DeMar have contributed $50,000 to establish the endowed fund on Give Purple Day. The scholarship will provide support to deserving Purple Knights, with preference given to student-athletes who share a passion for the game of golf.
This endowment not only honors a trailblazer whose vision helped shape opportunities on the golf course, but it also creates new opportunities for generations of young men at St. Augustine High School.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to Gregg DeMar and the entire DeMar family for their generosity, leadership, and commitment to preserving a family legacy while investing in the future of Purple Knights.
