Design Process Spotlight!
Graphic Design student Sequoyah Richardson brought the fictional kingdom of Zamunda to life through a vibrant travel poster inspired by the film Coming to America. Check out her process from initial research and concept sketches to final mockups.

Fun Fact! National Donut Day was established in 1938 by The Salvation Army to honor the women volunteers known as “Donut Lassies” who served donuts to soldiers during World War I. Celebrate today by getting a sweet treat! 🍩

M+D student, Sequoyah Richardson, turned her DDSN 1400 Typography Studio I and DDSN 2000 Branding & Semiotics final projects into one project about a traveling exhibition exploring the visual history of 50 years of Hip-Hop. 🎤✨

Huge thank you to for trusting our M+D Capstone class with the opportunity to develop an integrated communications campaign for your organization! 🙌 

Led by Professor Kristie Aylett, MDES 4150: Media + Design Capstone allows students collaborate with real-world non-profit clients to create integrated communication campaigns. Working as an agency-style team, students apply research, strategy and creative skills to produce portfolio-quality work for the non-profit to use. This experience is invaluable as students prepare for the next steps in their professional journeys.

Design Studio II students took on the challenge of crafting the ultimate audiophile collector’s edition. Each designer selected a concept album and reimagined its packaging from the inside out. It’s exciting to see these albums take on new life through thoughtful, immersive design 🎶✨

Tulane SoPA Media + Design is proud to introduce a Graduate Certificate in Strategic Communication, launching Fall 2026.
 
This flexible, fully online 12-credit program equips students with essential skills in public relations, digital marketing, and graphic design. Students will learn how to research, plan, implement, and evaluate PR and digital marketing campaigns.
 
The program also emphasizes clear, concise writing, along with the development of strong presentation and visual communication skills, preparing graduates to lead with confidence in today’s evolving media landscape.
