Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies

Riya Reddy is a graduating senior from Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies one of 19 valedictorians in the Class of 2026. Although she felt nervous about closing this chapter, Riya was excited to celebrate this milestone and look ahead to the future. During her time at Haynes, she served as co-president of Academic Games, where she competed nationally alongside her peers. She was also a member of the tennis team, student council, several honor societies, the Asian American Club, and served as the junior representative for the Teen Wellness Club.

Her advice to underclassmen is to avoid spreading yourself too thin and always make time to take care of yourself. Riya plans to attend Northwestern University in Chicago to major in economics with the goal of moving to New York and pursuing a career in investment banking. Riya would like to thank her parents for their constant support throughout her journey.
