Maryland found some solutions to suspensions and was able to reduce them by 17%. What is really going to happen in your district to reform discipline protocol that will reconnect students , and teachers to have this happen in NYS?

“Suspension rates dropped 17%. Test scores improved. Our teachers were empowered. They were able to build better relationships with their students while becoming more aware of the needs of their students! Our students feel valued.”

— Wualanda Thenstead, Piccowaxen Middle School, Maryland

SCHOOL BUDGET REVOTES
A VOTE FOR THE BUDGETS is A VOTE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND THE FUTURE.
As residents, taxpayers, parents, grandparents, educators, and advocates, we all share a common responsibility: ensuring that every child in our community has access to a quality public education.

The upcoming school budget vote is one of the most important decisions we will make together. Regardless of where you stand on the issue, I encourage every voter to become informed, ask questions, and participate in the democratic process.
