We are deeply heartbroken and saddened to share the devastating news of the untimely passing of our beloved, longtime Assistant Director of Admissions,
Rav Jonathan Cohen

As a cornerstone of our Israel admissions team, Jonathan (“JoCo”) dedicated his life to helping thousands of students realize their dreams of a YU education. He approached his work not just as a profession, but as a calling, always guided by a deep warmth and an unwavering commitment to each student’s personal journey.

May his legacy of love and dedication be a source of nechama to his family, his students, and all of Klal Yisrael.

The Sy Syms School of Business stands in solidarity with 2x alumnus Gabe Einhorn ‘23SB, ‘25SB (MBA) and his brother, Aiden. As founders of VryfID, the brothers have shown remarkable innovation, leadership, and perseverance since launching their startup in the summer of 2025.

We are proud to support Gabe and Aiden and commend their continued strength in the face of adversity.
