We are raising funds for general purpose and LAM-TECH Consulting Enterprises in Sierra Leone has generously pledged to march our donations up to $500 if the organization raise $500 or more within 72hrs starting from yesterday. We have 48hrs to go. Use this link https://www.koindufamily.org/support-us/donate to donate whatever you can and help us help the people of Koindu in Sierra Leone. This donation drive was started by Bah as his way of celebrating Sierra Leone’s independence.
We are the sons and daughters of the Kissi Bendu Community (Koindu and its surrounding towns and villages) living in the United States of America
Koindu, a rural small town in the Eastern Province of Sierra Leone, lies on the Moa River border with the countries of Liberia and Guinea. Once a thriving commercial hub with vitality and progress, this town now exists in greater need for re-development. In 1991, Koindu was the first town afflicted by the ravaging 11 years long civil war our country Sierra Leone endured. In March of 2014, Koindu was also the first town affected by the Ebola pandemic that took many lives and left many families devastated
Our objectives
To provide a progressive platform for innovative ideas and effective discussions geared towards the development and prosperity of the Kissi Bendu community.
To create awareness and sensitization programs that will eliminate the discrimination and stigmatization of post-EBOLA victims.
To enforce a civic community that respects and supports one another through but not limited to social, economic, academic, and professional issues.
To promote a community valued on inclusiveness, integrity, accountability and transparency.
To encourage and empower one another in efforts to collaborate on resource-pulling and project endeavors through community fundraising activities

The foundation has four core programs around which all activities and projects are based. These programs will exist in each country we operate. Each program will be piloted in one country for at least 3 years and after successful deployment and implementation, it will be duplicated into the other countries.
LAM-TECH Foundation’s cause will be achieved by implementing the following programs, all under the umbrella of “Promoting sustainable Math, Science and Technology Education in West Africa.”
“Public Digital Knowledge Center”
“ICT Student Clubs”
“One Computer Per Home”
“Education Technology Research Institute”
Public Digital Knowledge Center
We found that many of the primary schools, secondary schools and communities we serve don’t have access to the internet and those with access have only 128K of internet bandwidth, Lam-Tech will develop and deploy a local content server that mirrors a large assortment of free educational web documents in so that these documents can be made available to users of the network freely and instantly with or without the internet. To achieve our goals, Lam-Tech will also partner with teachers and education experts to develop and publish local content based on the WAEC’s syllabuses for the different stage exams. The pilot server will contain computer software applications, educational software programs, virtual science lab applications, audio books, videos, eBooks, academic & medical, engineering, business, law and computer science journals, local newspapers, and important Sierra Leone government and non-profit websites
The ICT Student Clubs for students will be established in community schools and serve as a network and training ground where students will be engaged with programs to motivate and gain their interest in math, science and technology. The clubs will explore topics such as professional careers in math, science and technology, salary surveys, case studies of successful youth projects around the globe and etc. They will compete from time to time to receive free low-power laptops and portable solar systems for their home use
One Computer Per Home program will cater for the low-power computers and portable solar systems that will be used as incentives for students in our program. The program will set the criteria for awards and manage the award process.
Education Technology Research Institute will be established as a research based tertiary education institute in one country and online. This institute will create a network of science and technology researchers in Sierra Leone to research and develop adaptable renewable energy and low-power computing solutions for use in rural areas. It will also create a Technology/knowledge transfer platform to help bridge the digital divide. The provision of professional ICT and business related training, consultancy and research services to private and public sector will help the institute generate revenues to sustain it operations. In the future the institute will attempt to connect all higher institutions of learning in West Africa through a West African University Wide Area Network (WAU-WAN) initiative that will facilitate information sharing and collaborative research between universities in West African.
