A simple question was asked in the PEAS Zambia Alumni Study: Would you encourage another young person to attend your school?
Among PEAS students, nearly 82% said they definitely would.
Sometimes one of the strongest indicators of a school's impact is whether students would recommend it to someone else.

Every student's journey is different.
But one thing remains constant: strong foundations matter.
Whether students pursue further education, enter the workforce, or take on leadership roles in their communities, the skills and experiences they gain in school help shape what comes next.
That's why investing in quality education matters.

One of the most interesting findings from the PEAS Zambia Alumni Study?
More than half of students surveyed had held a leadership role during secondary school.
Leadership opportunities give students a chance to practice decision-making, teamwork, communication, and responsibility—skills that matter long after graduation.
Education isn't just about what happens at a desk. Sometimes it's about learning how to lead.

Getting students into school is important.
Making sure they leave with the skills, confidence, and support they need for the future is equally important.

When students think about their future, who helps guide them?
According to the PEAS Zambia Alumni Study, nearly 91% of students in PEAS schools reported receiving career guidance, with teachers serving as the most common source of advice and support. Teachers weren't just helping students prepare for exams—they were helping them think about what comes next.
Whether it's a conversation after class, a career day, or exposure to new opportunities, guidance matters.

Paulo Freire wrote that education is never neutral.
Schools shape how students understand themselves, each other, and the world around them. That’s part of why the quality of education—not just access—matters so much.

Schools shape more than academic outcomes.
They influence confidence, routine, connection, and whether students feel supported day to day. That’s part of why strong learning environments matter—not just for education, but for wellbeing too.

A lot of people ask what “improving education” actually means in practice.
For us, it’s pretty concrete: supporting teachers, strengthening school leadership, and making sure students are building foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
That’s the work.

Girls mentoring girls 💛
Through our mentorship program, students are building confidence, sharing experiences, and supporting one another as they grow. These spaces create connection, encouragement, and the belief that every girl can succeed.
Because when girls uplift each other, they rise — together. Thank you Together Women Rise for supporting this project!💪🌱
