My name is Charlie (charlie🐟 ༉‧₊˚.) and I am currently studying abroad in Italy for the IL 261 study abroad program!

I’ve been to so many amazing places, seen so many well known famous art works and even buildings! Being able to see the works that I have studied only in textbooks has been monumental. It is truly inspiring to travel through Italy and immerse myself into its art and culture.

Although I’ve visited so many places, I’ve also made so many new friends. I’ve surrounded myself with people who are always continuing to help me grow. A community that I am proud to foster and contribute to. Alongside a wonderful professor who is truly passionate about art and so kind as well.

I am forever grateful to be in this study abroad program! It has changed not only my perception of art, but my outlook on life in general. No words could capture how amazing and fun this trip has been for me.

Hello! My name is Clara and I took the International Fashion Capitals course (CL132). This course has been so valuable for not only myself as a designer, but as a person as well. I have learned so much in London & Paris and gotten to visit so many fantastic archives and museums. ✈️❤️

hi!! i’m rebecca studying in london in the AC424 internship program. for the past 2 weeks i’ve been working at marks and spencer’s in their fashion PR department which i’ve already learned and grown so much from. exploring london has been such a highlight and i can’t wait to soak up the rest of my time here!!

Hi everyone! ⭐️ My name is Elysia Washington, and I’m currently studying abroad in Cape Town, South Africa. I’m a Clothing & Textiles student and Production Management major at FIT, and I’m excited to take over the page today and share some of my experiences abroad!

One of the most rewarding parts of my time here has been seeing the fashion and textile industry from a different perspective. Through my courses, I’ve explored textile development, sewing and garment construction, sustainable fashion practices, and innovative methods of recycling fibers and yarns. It’s been fascinating to learn how sustainability is being incorporated into the industry and to experience hands-on learning in a completely new environment.

Outside of academics, I’ve had the chance to explore so much of what South Africa has to offer. From enjoying amazing local food and experiencing Cape Town’s nightlife, to visiting the penguins at Boulders Beach and traveling to Johannesburg, every week has brought a new adventure. Living here has allowed me to immerse myself in a different culture, meet people from around the world, and gain a broader perspective both personally and professionally.

Studying abroad has challenged me, inspired me, and helped me grow in ways I never expected. I’m so grateful for this opportunity and excited to share more of my journey with you throughout today’s takeover. Hi everyone! My name is Renee and I’m currently studying abroad at the American University of Paris as an Entrepreneurship major 🇫🇷✨

Studying abroad has been such an amazing experience. I’ve met so many new people, tried new things, and learned so much about French culture. Being in such an international environment has also helped me grow as a business student and given me experiences that I know will help me in my future career. I have had the privilege of studying abroad in Florence not only once but twice again this semester. it has been one of the most unforgettable experiences of my life. From the memories and friendships to the late-night walks, endless pasta, and beautiful views, this experience became so much more than I ever imagined.
