Dear SIPA Community,
SIPASA strongly condemns the Russian invasion of Ukraine!
We strive in our daily endeavors to promote and fight against the violation of democratic vaules, principles, and mechanisms. Therefore, we consider the Russian attacks on Ukraine to be a blatant infringement upon the sovereignty, territorial integrity, and right to self-determination of Ukraine.
In this context, we express our solidarity with any student negatively impacted by the recent events. We extend our humble and sincere support to all of those in need and we will do our best to foster an environment capable to alleviate the hardships of SIPA students.
Your 2022-2023 SIPASA Board Members

Our 2022 SIPASA Board is now complete!
Recently we welcomed Academic Chair Joshua Taylor Fife, Communications Chairs Cinnamon Cornell and Aurelian Mohan, J-Term Representative Grace Cheong, and EMPA Representative Paul Zarfati. Welcome all, we are so happy to have you on the team!
Why are the SIPASA representatives important? Because they have weekly meetings with students, deans, and staff departments in order to fight for student interests. If you have feedback for us on how to make SIPA better, please reach out and become a part of the conversation! We can't do it without YOU!

SIPA Course Evaluations are now available!
You can access your course evaluation(s) through CourseWorks under the "Student Course Evaluations" module.
We understand that completing course evaluations is not on the top of your priority list at the end of the semester but it is important that you complete them. For that reason we created the
FAQ: Why should we fill out the SIPA Course Evaluation?
to remind us how they add value to our community.

We, SIPASA, write to acknowledge the horrible, violent event that took place last night (March 16th) in Atlanta, Georgia. Over the past year, almost 3,800 incidences of violence against persons of Asian descent have been reported, more frequently by women of Asian descent, in part due to the increasing xenophobia related to the COVID-19 pandemic. These attacks have been further exacerbated due to the irresponsible and inaccurate rhetoric used by the media and persons in power. We grieve with our fellow Asian and AAPI students, faculty and staff who are hurting at this time and stand alongside you in your pain.
Unfortunately, anti-Asian bias and hate crimes are not new in this country and have only accelerated during these past months. As much as we can verbally stand in solidarity with our AAPI brothers and sisters, we encourage the SIPA community to take this time to evaluate our own shortcomings and ask ourselves if we have contributed to any forms of normalized racism against Asians and Asian-Americans. We encourage SIPA students to watch out for each other when walking home at night or to call out casual racism in conversations. If we truly wish to stop discrimination and violence against Asian and Pacific Islander communities, it starts with our own thoughts, words and actions.
We express our support for the Asian and Asian-American community and remind you of the resources and support groups that are available on campus and beyond:
