Happy World Water Day!
“ 'Leaving no-one behind' also means being aware of the need to respond with concrete facts; not only with the maintenance or improvement of water structures, but also by investing in the future, educating new generations in the use and care of water. This task of raising awareness is a priority in a world in which everything is discarded and disdained, and which in many cases does not appreciate the importance of the resources we have at our disposal."
- Pope Francis

Dear friends: We had some special guests visiting us at America this morning: Sister Susan McCarthy, RDC (Religious of Divine Compassion), and Sister Janet Kinney, CSJ (Congregation of St. Joseph).
Janet is the director of the Partnership for Global Justice, and Susan is on the board of this wonderful group that provides a voice for women's religious orders and their friends at the United Nations, on important issues of our time. PGJ is a an international organization with special consultative status to the United Nations.
These Catholic sisters also do work with college and high school students teaching them about the UN, with teachers to educate them about the UN's work, and with other groups to help them in the group's three goals: educate, participate, advocate.
If you're interested in learning more or in perhaps supporting financially these amazing women religious and their friends check out their website: http://www.partnershipforglobaljustice.com/
