We asked our teachers about their experience teaching at Queens Hebrew Academy, and a common theme quickly emerged: community.

From watching students grow year after year to building lasting relationships with families, our teachers shared how meaningful it is to be part of a school where everyone knows, supports, and cares for one another.

Teaching is about more than what happens in the classroom.

Itโ€™s about helping students grow, celebrating their successes, and being part of a community that continues to stay connected long after graduation.

Weโ€™re grateful for the dedicated educators who make QHA such a special place to learn, grow, and belong๐Ÿ’™

We asked our students how they would describe Queens Hebrew Academy to someone who has never been here.

Their answers spoke about more than academics.

They spoke about friendships, belonging, support, and the feeling of being part of a community that grows with you through every stage of your journey.

For some students, QHA has been their second home for more than a decade.

Itโ€™s where lifelong memories were made, where confidence was built, and where the foundation was laid for the next chapter of their lives.

There is no better way to describe a school than through the voices of the students who experience it every day. ๐Ÿ’™

Our Challah Bake in memory of Ori Danino zโ€l was an afternoon filled with unity, reflection, and inspiration.

We were honored to be joined by Oriโ€™s mother, who shared powerful words about her sonโ€™s life, legacy, and the strength that continues to carry her family forward.

Together, our community gathered to bake challah, pray, and honor Oriโ€™s memory in a meaningful and heartfelt way.

As she led the brachot, students, families, and community members came together in a moment of connection that reminded us of the power of faith, resilience, and Am Yisrael.

May Oriโ€™s memory be a blessing, and may we continue to carry his light forward through acts of kindness, unity, and love ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ

We asked our teachers a simple question: What do you hope students feel when they walk into your classroom?

Their answers reflected something that can be felt throughout Queens Hebrew Academy every day, a commitment to creating classrooms where students feel welcomed, supported, encouraged, and inspired to learn.

Whether itโ€™s the confidence to ask a question, the freedom to share an idea, or the excitement of discovering something new, our teachers work hard to create an environment where every student can thrive.

Because when students feel safe, valued, and excited to learn, incredible things can happen ๐Ÿ’™

We asked our students what they would want a new student to know before their first day at Queens Hebrew Academy.

Their answers were filled with kindness, confidence, and reassurance.

From making new friends to getting help from teachers, they shared what makes QHA feel welcoming from the moment you walk in.

For any student starting somewhere new, that support matters.

At QHA, students are encouraged, guided, and reminded that they are never alone.

You belong here ๐Ÿ’™

Happy Shavuot from Queens Hebrew Academy ๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ“–

Shavuot is a time to celebrate the giving of the Torah and the values, learning, and traditions that continue to guide the Jewish people from generation to generation.

At QHA, we strive to help our students build a meaningful connection to Torah, to learning, and to the responsibility of carrying our heritage forward with pride and purpose.

Wishing our students, families, and community a joyful and meaningful Chag Shavuot Sameach ๐Ÿ’™

We asked our students where they would most want to visit in Israel and why, and their answers reflected something deeper than just favorite cities or destinations.

For many of them, Israel represents family, connection, belonging, and the opportunity to experience the places they learn about every day in a real and personal way.

Whether itโ€™s visiting relatives, walking through Jerusalem, spending time in Tel Aviv, or simply being surrounded by Jewish life, each answer carried a sense of pride and connection to something meaningful.

At Queens Hebrew Academy, helping students build that relationship with Israel is an important part of helping them understand who they are and where they come from ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ’™

Israel is more than a place our students learn about in a classroom.

It is a connection they feel deeply through history, tradition, spirituality, and community.

When students speak about Israel, they speak about belonging.

They speak about pride, connection, and the feeling of being part of something greater than themselves.

Through learning, discussion, and shared experiences, they begin to understand why Israel holds such an important place in the hearts of Jewish people around the world.

At Queens Hebrew Academy, helping students build that connection is something we value deeply ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ฑ๐Ÿ’™
