Saturday, June 20 - We're having an open house as students get ready for vacations, camp, and adventures. You're invited too! Swing by Saturday, June 20th, 1-3pm, 227 W. 29th, and visit us at North Sky Kung Fu. We'll have snacks and refreshments. Sifu Julie bought a new bunch of puzzles and novelties for the kids. We're keeping it casual and even continuing our classes in the backgrounds (kids at 2, adults at 3, Tai Chi at 4pm.) We are focusing on 1-3pm but we'll be there all afternoon.

It's sash test season - kids are coming up this month. Here are some of our adult students who recently took their test; we congratulate Kevin and Christophe (left) and Suzanne (right). Their forms were difficult, for example, "Great Hero form" (Dai Hong Kuen), Lin Kuen, Spear vs. Saber....great performances! And Suzanne showed high level sparring! Good work!

It's Sifu Julie and her team working on their Saturday challenge today (it involved a spinning side kick, punching, and soccer-ball-through-a-hoop moves.) These two martial artists are getting ready for their orange sash test. They worked so hard on Jeet Kuen today, but there's always time for a challenge.ππ₯

We didn't take a lot of photos at the Ying Jow Pai Chinese New Year celebration in March...but we're sharing a couple here. The Year of the Horse was off to a busy start at Congee Village. And speaking of the Fire Horse, things are off to a wild, galloping start. As we can see, things change fast in the Year of the Horse.

We're so glad to be back to our Eagle Claw Kung Fu after a few weeks of Chinese New Year-related activities and a tournament. Whew! Here we are at an evening class working on grabbing and using a palm strike.
