Dominican Academy students are exploring the world through our Global Exchange Program in China!

In collaboration with students from Regis High School through the Ricci Scholars Program, our Tigers are experiencing a true cultural immersion as they travel through China, discovering the rich history, traditions, and daily life of one of the world's most dynamic countries.

From strolling along the iconic Bund and visiting the world-renowned Shanghai Museum to exploring the winding alleyways of Tianzifang and the historic beauty of Yu Garden, students are gaining firsthand insight into China's unique blend of ancient tradition and modern innovation. Along the way, they have experienced local markets, Buddhist temples, historic neighborhoods, and meaningful examples of East-West cultural exchange.

More than a trip, this is an opportunity to build global perspectives, form new friendships, and deepen their understanding of a culture that has shaped our interconnected world.

We're just $11,000 away from our Annual Fund goal.

This year, Dominican Academy awarded more than $1 million in financial aid, helping make a world-class education possible for over half of our students. At the same time, the Class of 2026 earned $22.4 million in scholarships and grants to top colleges and universities and achieved a 100% college acceptance rate.

Every gift helps make these outcomes possible.

At Dominican Academy, we encourage our students to learn from history, listen to diverse voices, and lead with courage and compassion. As young women grounded in faith and committed to truth, our students are called to build a more just and equitable world for all.

May this day inspire us to reflect on the past, celebrate progress, and continue working toward a future where every person is seen, valued, and free.

During Pride Month, we reflect on a simple message that Pope Leo recently reiterated: "Todos, Todos, Todos"—everyone belongs in the conversation, everyone deserves to be seen, and everyone is worthy of respect.

Dominican Academy is a place of love, dignity, and respect for all. Guided by our Catholic faith and the Dominican pursuit of Veritas, we are committed to fostering a community where students can learn, grow, and flourish as their authentic selves.

Everyone. Everyone. Everyone.

Dominican Academy students participated in JAXPO (Junior Advocacy Expo), a signature event where our juniors shared the social justice issues they have been researching, studying, and advocating for throughout the year.

From environmental sustainability and educational equity to healthcare access and human rights, our students presented thoughtful research and creative solutions while engaging their peers, faculty, families, and guests in meaningful conversations about creating positive change in our world.

JAXPO is a powerful reminder that Dominican Academy students are not only learning about the world—they are preparing to transform it through knowledge, compassion, and action.

Congratulations to the Class of 2027 on their hard work, dedication, and commitment to advocacy!

Big opportunities often begin with a simple conversation.

Sophomores Avital K. and Paloma G. represented Dominican Academy at an exclusive rooftop networking event with women leaders from Merrill and Bank of America. Joined by the Finance Club moderator Dr. Dziwura, they embraced the opportunity to connect with accomplished professionals, ask thoughtful questions, and gain firsthand insight into careers in finance and leadership.

Experiences like these remind us of the power of mentorship, networking, and learning from women who are leading the way in their fields. We are grateful to Mrs. Papandrea and her colleagues for welcoming our students and helping them envision the possibilities that lie ahead.

Our students celebrated the arrival of their yearbooks with a sweet treat for National Donut Day! Between signing pages, sharing memories, and enjoying specially decorated Knicks-inspired donuts, the halls were filled with Knicks pride, laughter, and school spirit.

As we look back on an incredible year, we're also cheering on New York as the Knicks continue their Finals run. Here's to great memories, great friends, and a great team!

D.A.'s Evening of the Arts brought the school community together to celebrate the remarkable creativity of student artists. The evening featured performances by the Dance Club, Glee Club, and Senior Ensemble, alongside an open-call visual arts showcase that highlighted student work in illustration, watercolor, poetry, and even a short film produced in just one take.

The annual event, held on May 18, was hosted by Ms. Kate Finlayson, dance and body-mind conditioning teacher, and Ms. Gwyneth Mooney, music and drama teacher and chair of the art department.

Great work, D.A. artists and performers!
