Hispanic Federation and The City University of New York are partnering with Latino community-based agencies, the New York State Department of Education, public policy stakeholders, and business leaders to launch the CREAR Futuros project to bring increased attention and resources to improving educational achievement and economic opportunity for Latinos. CREAR Futuros Spring Kick-off at the Coca-Cola company!
Students listened to inspiring speeches by the President of the Hispanic Federation, Jose Calderon and Adriano Espaillat, the first Dominican-American in congress. Coca -Cola representatives were also kind enough to share their time with students!

CREAR Futuros Mentees!
Hispanic Federation has arranged to host an event with El Museo Del Barrio, located at 1230 5th Ave, New York, NY 10029 on Friday, January 13th from 10:00am – 1:00pm, but please arrive by 9:45am. The focus of this event is to engage your curiosities on the topics of art, culture, and community. As always, the Hispanic Federation will provide lunch. Please see complete event agenda below:

10:00am – 11:00am: Gallery - Interactive gallery viewing of Beatriz Santiago Muñoz: a Universe of Fragile Mirrors, presented by Colleen Fitzsimmons
11:00pm – 12:00pm: Box Theater - Informative session with a Museo Del Barrio leader to discuss the role of the museum in the community
12:00pm – 12:45pm: Box Theater - Lunch with an artist
12:34pm - 1:00pm: Café - Viewing of the Three Kings Day historic puppets
