Many young Londoners feel excluded from creative industry jobs. They don’t know what kind of jobs there are, or what skills you need to do them. Unpacking the Credits includes education resources to encourage young people to consider future careers in the creative industries. Young people should see the films and think "I could do that" and "I didn’t realise there were jobs like that."

Announcing our three winners of the Mythical x GFS Creator Grant - Jasiel Louison (she/her) is a 21 year old writer and director from New York. She grew up in the Bronx, and is heavily influenced by her community and experiences as a young black immigrant. She found her love of filmmaking upon entering high school, at The Cinema School, when the possibility of a new form of storytelling through film became a possibility. At 16, she joined the Ghetto Film School (GFS) Fellows Program, where she took that love of filmmaking to the next level through developing technical skills to bring those stories to life. In 2017 she worked with her classmates as a Production Designer on the 2018 GFS International Thesis Film Project, Be Free. Over the next 5 years Jasiel worked on various sets in the art department. Now Jasiel, works to create discussion around political and social reform through her films. In 2021 Jasiel, directed a short film, Reverie, about a couple navigating the challenges of an in*******al marriage during the height on racial tension in the late 60s. Her film was heavily dependent on the 1967 Supreme court case, Loving v. Virginia to guide her script and creative decisions. Next, Jasiel will be directing the 2022 GFS New York International Thesis Project in Iceland, in partnership with Dell Technologies.
