Rabbi Abraham Cooper and Michael Cohen of the Simon Wiesenthal Center will speak on the topic:
"Every Jew Today Has To be A Modern Day Maccabee:
Standing up with pride in our Jewish identity
and the courage to fight against those who hate us"
The Pollak Lecture will connect the current situation of the War in Israel to the historical basis for the celebration of Chanukah. It will also address the frightening rise of anti-Semitism and anti-Semitic acts here in America and throughout the world.

Who wants to learn how to make challah for their Rosh Hashana table? A lot of us, apparently. On Tuesday, September 12, a sold-out crowd of eager bakers created their own holiday challah from scratch, with guidance from the "Challah Queen", Tracy Zimmerman. Everyone had a fantastic time!
