Film/Video is excited to announce our upcoming Senior Thesis Showcase, 2026!
Five blocks of films will screen at BAM on May 18th. Start times are: 11 am, 1pm, 3:30 pm, 6:30 pm, and 8:30 pm. See the Pratt Events Page to reserve tickets for the block or blocks you would like to attend. This option will open on Wednesday! Tickets are free, but please reserve in advance separately, for each block you wish to attend.

Pratt Institute's Film/Video Department The department promotes critical thinking and independence across the vast spectrum of media making.
The Film/Video major provides a foundation in all aspects of the moving image while inspiring students to explore various modes of filmmaking, including narrative, documentary and experimental. Pratt's Film/Video program emphasizes conceptual and artistic development and encourages collaboration with students in other disciplines.

Full Circle: The First All-Black Everest Ascent a feature film directed by Pratt F/V Faculty member Justice Whitaker and Rolake Bamgbose - is headed to as part of the Spotlight Documentary program.

Macro and Andreessen Horowitz’s Cultural Leadership Fund (CLF) announced the inaugural class for The Epigraph Creator Fellowship, a unique program that pairs filmmakers with frontier AI tools to integrate into their creative process.
The selected fellows are Bianca Lambert, Chazitear Martin, John Burr, Justice Whitaker, Nick Barili, Sulayman Tahir and Tedra Wilson. Their projects have been featured in and recognized by Tribeca, the American Black Film Festival (ABFF), Slamdance, Essence Film Festival, as well as on streaming platforms such as Amazon’s Prime Video, HBO Max, Paramount+ and Netflix.
