Kids at Work

It was SUCH a treat for our Preschool Prep classes to get a visit from some furry friends at the end of May, courtesy of The Art Farm NYC 🐰 ! They brought 4 special animals for our students and their grown-ups to meet! We got to say hello, gently touch, and learn all about each animal! Can you spot them all? 🐢🐰🕊️🦎

Yay! Summer has officially begun in NYC. Kids at Work is CLOSED for all programming Monday, May 25, 2026. We will be fully re-opened on Tues. Use code INSTAKAW for $10 off a class. See you soon!

Why do Kids at Work staff attend Educator Tours? When we maintain relationships with area schools, programs are aware that our students understand that the classroom is a safe space, teachers are helpers, and that they have a basic foundation of social skills and competency. When we know “what’s what” with surrounding programs, we can better advise our families on what school may be the best fit for their ongoing needs. Each spring we have the privilege of touring a few of the wonderful programs downtown, and today it was on W13th! What a wonderful community - especially impressed with the high level of academics at this otherwise very progressive school! In past years we have also toured Barrow Street, Beginnings, Chelsea Day, Corlears, Christ Church School, Brotherhood, and so many more. Chelsea/Flatiron! Join and KAW Saturday, May 16 for a block party! Teachers Samantha, Erin and Sam will be on hand as the kiddos make flowers out of huge coffee filters. Pour, spray, dot, draw, and drip watercolors to your heart’s content. See you there! Just show up - appropriate for ages 1-5! 10:30am-2:30pm West 20th between 6/7th!

Turns out every teenager was once the one wearing fairy wings to school, refusing nap time, and proudly showing off a pocket full of rocks and stickers. ✨
