Honored to join my friends Linda Livingstone of Baylor University, Shane Reese of BYU, Rev. Robert Dowd of University of Notre Dame, and Peter Kilpatrick of The Catholic University of America at the American Council on Education. Faith-based institutions help shape the values that make American higher education flourish. Standing together, we can renew them for the next generation.

Jalen Brunson’s mother sent him a biblical verse before every game.

It worked.

Today, steps from the Garden, we opened Yeshiva University’s new Dental School the same way:

“Lord, open my lips, and let my mouth declare Your praise.”

Because at YU, healing the mouth is holy work.

On 6.13, Jalen Brunson — shaped by his father, Rick — became Finals MVP and led the Knicks to a championship. New York Knicks 🏀

A story about legacy, discipline, and what gets passed from one generation to the next.

Let’s go Knicks!

At Yeshiva University, we fly the Israeli flag 365 days of the year. And during our graduation ceremonies, basketball games and campus events we sing Hatikvah, the Israeli national anthem.

In my recent interview with Ynet Global, I shared why.

Last week, we celebrated 50 remarkable years of our YU Israel Kollel. At a dinner ceremony at our Gruss Campus in Jerusalem, I had the privilege of presenting Rabbi Dovid Miller with the Torat Tzion award in honor of his 50 years of teaching Torah and helping shape the lives of hundreds of talmidim. As an alumnus of Gruss and student of Rabbi Miller, it was truly such a special night, and it was so wonderful to see so many friends, current students and Gruss alumni come to gather and celebrate the incredible Rabbi Miller.

Thank you to the Class of 2026, your families, faculty, and supporters for making our 95th Commencement a celebration of achievement, purpose, and the enduring power of Torah values to bless our world.

ISRAEL DAY PARADE

06/01/2026

Today in the streets of New York, Jews of every background — and our allies — stood together with joy, pride and clarity.

Israel is one of the most extraordinary stories in the modern world: an ancient people returning home; a democracy built on freedom and purpose; a small nation whose innovation blesses all humanity.

It is a story of courage, sacrifice, faith, family, memory, and hope.

Am Yisrael Chai.

The voices of our graduates tell the story best: YU is where purpose, community, and values-driven education come to life.
