So great that so many of Zander's teammates come together year after year to play in his honor and memory. #54.
We lost you seven years ago today Zander. Not a day goes by when you are not recalled lovingly. Your memory remains strongly ensconced in our essence. #54.
Monday April 12 will mark the 7th year of Zander's passing on the Jewish calendar, his yahrzeit. Please take a moment to recall Zander and keep his memory alive.
Happy 17th birthday Zander. You would be driving somewhere today to celebrate.
What would senior year be like for you? You would be taller than Mom and likely taller than Dad. What college would you be going to? Leading off and playing center field. Winger or D man? Crush or gf?
Celebrate all these events in heaven.
You would have changed the world so much for the better.
We all miss you so much every day.
XO
Happy Juneteenth.
One thing we know for sure is Zander only saw people, not color nor race. From a public school education and being a member of racially diverse travel baseball and hockey teams, Zander only saw friends, teammates and brothers and sisters. His second Mom is an amazing woman of color. Zander saw love and goodness, never hatred and segregation. A lesson for today and for us all. #54
Six years today and we still can't believe that you are gone Zander. Your smile, your personality and your attitude resonate amongst your family and friends. We miss you with all our hearts and remember you each and every day.
Have a Zander day! #54
