Save The Date!

Jazz at Lincoln Center proudly presents the 30th anniversary of Essentially Ellington, our transformative international High School Jazz Band Program.

To mark the occasion, we’re expanding the program, exclusively for this banner year. Here's how:

- We’re doubling the number of finalist bands that will be eligible to participate in the annual Competition & Festival. In 2025 we’ll invite 30 bands to NYC!

- The Competition and Festival will last five days – May 7-11, 2025 – and offer even more to participating band directors and students.

- The final concert on May 11 will be held at the historic Metropolitan Opera House, located at Lincoln Center in New York, NY.
