On June 8, New York ParentChild+ State Director Andre Eaton will be alongside Literacy in Community and other City’s First Readers (CFR) partners and families on the steps of New York City's City Hall. We will be rallying to fund for early literacy initiatives for NYC's youngest before the City Council Budget Hearing.
Literacy happens in community, and this cause is shared by all those with an interest in the future of NYC's youngest. We know how critical investment in children and families is to ensure possibilities right from the start, let's make sure City Hall knows it too!

What actually happens in a home visit? 👀
➕ It’s personalized, one-on-one support.
➕ It’s connecting caregivers to resources.
➕ It’s sharing knowledge and building skills.
➕ And yes, it’s full of joy. 💛
At ParentChild+, every visit is designed to meet caregivers where they are and support them in thriving with their children.
This is just one part of what early childhood home visiting looks like. You're invited to follow along this month as we share more about what makes ParentChild+ special. ✨

Home visiting is a strengths-based approach that connects families and home-based child care providers with trained early childhood professionals who support them in preparing children for school and life.
Grounded in trusting relationships, visits focus on building caregivers’ skills, coaching learning through play and conversation, and fostering the kind of positive interactions that help children and adults thrive together.
Want to learn more about home visiting in the U.S.? Check out the National Home Visiting Resource Center.
And stay tuned as we share more in the coming weeks about what makes ParentChild+ special! ➕

As comes to an end, join us in taking a moment to recognize the incredible Home Visitors and early learning specialists at the heart of this work.
Their impact extends far beyond a single week. Every day their work is supporting families, strengthening relationships, and helping children thrive.
If there’s a home visitor in your life, consider sharing this post to let them know how much they’re appreciated. 💛
And thank YOU for following along this week! Don’t go far. Throughout May, we’ll be continuing to highlight the power of Home Visiting and the people who make it possible.
