Parsons MFA Photo alum Tere Garcia, who currently teaches at Florida Atlantic University, installs her work for the upcoming Biennial Faculty Exhibition, Outside Office Hours, at Schmidt Center Gallery (FAU University Galleries), curated by Michelle Sunset.
“I’m especially grateful to curator Michelle Sunset for also selecting my work as one of the pieces to travel to the University of Wyoming Art Museum UW Art Museum | Laramie, WY
Currently installing “Frontera” a fragile line of soil applied directly onto the gallery wall, tracing the outline of the U.S.–Mexico border. Alongside the video work “The Jaguar and the Echoes of the Border” which explores the intertwined narratives of human migration and the endangered jaguar against the backdrop of the border wall.”

Brigitte Lustenberger’s “A Gaze of One’s Own” is part of the CANTONALE at the Musée Jurassic Des Arts in Moutier. Opening tomorrow, December 10 at 5PM!
“The Meaning of a Photograph” along with two other photographs of hers are part of Thomas Werner’s new book The Business of Fine Art Photography.
Lustenberger also has an installation called “What is Love?” of 40 large sized photographs in the ancient cemetery, Parc de la Torma, in Monthey.
