💼🦁 FROM AMBOY ROAD TO WALL STREET 🦁💼
The Business & Finance Institute was honored to welcome Monsignor Farrell alumni Chris Ventresca ’84 and Robert Competiello ’84 back to their alma mater to share their experiences and insights with the next generation of Faithful Men.
Students learned about careers in investment banking, mergers & acquisitions, wealth management, sales and trading, while also gaining valuable advice on networking, interviewing, professional growth, and the importance of building strong relationships throughout their careers.
Chris Ventresca ’84 serves as Global Chairman of Investment Banking & Mergers and Acquisitions at JPMorgan Chase, where he has spent more than 37 years helping shape some of the world’s most significant financial transactions.
Robert Competiello ’84 began his career on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange and has spent nearly four decades in the financial services industry, serving in leadership roles at major financial firms before becoming a Financial Advisor with Edward Jones.
Most importantly, our students witnessed firsthand the power of the Farrell brotherhood. Chris and Bob demonstrated that no matter where life takes our alumni—from Amboy Road to Wall Street—they remain committed to helping the Faithful Men who follow in their footsteps.
Thank you to Chris and Bob for investing their time, wisdom, and experience in our students and for continuing to embody what it means to be a Vir Fidelis. Thank you to Mr. John Cusick ‘88 for organizing this great event.

🏛️⛏️ ARCHAEOLOGY SOCIETY EXPLORES REVOLUTIONARY WAR HISTORY 🇺🇸🦁
Members of the Monsignor Farrell Archaeology Society traveled to Red Bank Battlefield in New Jersey to participate in Public Archaeology Day, an immersive hands-on experience that brought history to life.
Located along the Delaware River, Red Bank Battlefield was the site of the pivotal Battle of Red Bank on October 22, 1777, where Patriot forces secured an important victory during the American Revolution. Our Faithful Men began the day with a briefing from Project Director Dr. Jennifer Janofsky and Lead Archaeologist Wade Catts before working alongside professional archaeologists and Rowan University Field School students.
Students received training in archaeological methods and equipment and spent the morning conducting real fieldwork, including excavation, screening, and metal detecting. Following their field experience, the group toured the historic Whitall House, built in 1748 and used as a field hospital during the Revolutionary War.
A special thank you to Mr. Dennis Williams, Director of the Archaeology Society, for his leadership, organization, and commitment to providing our students with unique opportunities to engage with history beyond the classroom. Through experiences like these, our Faithful Men continue to develop a deeper appreciation for the past while building skills for the future. 🦁📚⛏️
