Our 5th graders celebrated the Shefa Showcase and Moving Up Ceremony!

Students shared work from the year, reflected on their time in Lower School, and marked their next step toward 6th Grade.💚

We are proud of all they have accomplished and look forward to what comes next!💙

The Shefa Center hosted the DEEP Consortium Annual Convening this week , bringing together leaders from across the field for two days of learning and discussion.

The convening focused on how schools can build stronger systems for professional learning, how organizations can measure the impact of their work, and how DEEP can continue supporting the field of Jewish day school education. Participants were also able to learn from a panel of Shefa teachers directly. 💚

Our 8th graders made the most of the final days of their Canada trip!🇨🇦

Students began with tefillah and breakfast in Montreal, stopped for lunch at Quechee Gorge and the alpaca farm, and then arrived at Camp Ramah for a beautiful Shabbat together.

From Kabbalat Shabbat to sports, games, Havdalah, a bonfire, and a final stop at Six Flags, this trip has been filled with connection, adventure, and Shefa memories!💚💙🎢

Our 8th graders are making memories that will last a lifetime on their Canada trip!🇨🇦

From hiking Prospect Mountain and rafting through Ausable Chasm to exploring Montreal, hiking Mount Royal, and experiencing Jewish life beyond the classroom, this trip has been filled with adventure, friendship, independence, and growth.

We can’t wait to see what the rest of the trip brings!💚💙
