We had a happy end of the work week with a brisk trip to Governors Island to see the Harbor School’s ‘Earth Tub’ in action (an institution-sized composter that we at Poly Prep are considering).

On Governors Island- the great Charlie Beyrer of Earth Matter giving me exciting updates of their wonderful composting activities there. Saw dear Shig Matsukawa volunteering at the farm and we reconnected over fermenting food waste. Stood by the recycled shells, part of The Billion Oyster Project; a blissful day!
