IMB-CNM is looking for a researcher to work within PaNeTONE, a project focused on developing a new generation of memristive devices for analogue and in-memory computing. The research explores how device geometry and materials engineering can be used as design parameters to achieve improved stability, reproducibility and energy efficiency in oxide-based nanoelectronic devices. The work combines nanofabrication, electrical characterization and device physics to understand and control behaviour at the nanoscale.

So how do you write one that professors actually read (and reply to)?
Follow this step-by-step structure — optimized for impact ⬇️
📌 1. Craft a Catchy Subject Line
Professors receive dozens of emails daily. Your subject line should make them pause. Use:
🔹 “Prospective PhD Student – Fall 2025 – Interest in [Professor’s Topic]”
🔹 “Application for MS Supervision – [Your Name] – [Area]”
Avoid vague ones like: “Hello Sir”, “Request” or “Urgent”.
🧑‍🔬 2. Professional Salutation

The fourth edition of the Southeast Asia summer school will focus on the rise and consequences of mass tourism in Southeast Asia. Entitled "𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐎𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐦: 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐱𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐓𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐬𝐢𝐚," the off campus program will examine the case of Indonesia in particular.
