The Montefiore Einstein Center for Bioethics is proud to be represented at this year’s International Conference on Clinical Ethics and Consultation (ICCEC) in Cleveland, Ohio.
MECB faculty and associates will be sharing their scholarship, presenting posters, and leading discussions on a range of timely and important issues in clinical ethics. We are excited to contribute to this international forum and engage with colleagues from around the world who are advancing ethics consultation, education, research, and patient care. If you’re attending ICCEC, we invite you to join us at our presentations and poster sessions. We look forward to connecting, learning, and sharing ideas.

Our MECB faculty, alumni, graduate students, and friends gathered together today for our quarterly Alumni Ethics Connect series. We are so grateful to the Empire State Bioethics Consortium for granting permission for us to host an invited screening of the documentary, Ethics on Call: The Nancy Dubler Story, for our alumni and graduate students. As a founder of Montefiore’s Bioethics Consultation Service and our Advanced Certificate in Bioethics and Medical Humanities, Nancy Dubler’s many contributions to the field of bioethics and her legacy as a scholar, educator, mentor, and patient/family advocate are well known and now her story can be shared with younger generations of clinicians and bioethicists! Special thanks to our MS alums, Liz Blackler and Margot Hedlin, for their contributions to the documentary and for joining us today to introduce the film and share their behind the scenes experiences working with Nancy and her many colleagues, friends, and family who are featured in interviews.
