All GCPS locations will be closed on Friday, June 19, in observance of Juneteenth. All district activities, including Summer Learning programs and Book Mobile stops, will be canceled for the Juneteenth holiday.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who supported today’s Mobile Food Distribution! Your time, dedication, and servant hearts helped provide fresh produce and essential food items to families in our community. Because of you, this event was a success and made a meaningful difference in the lives of so many. We are grateful for your commitment to serving others and helping make our community stronger! ❤️

June is Pride Month!

Pride Month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall protest in New York City, and recognizes the impact that le***an, gay, bisexual, transgender, q***r, and intersex (LGBTQI+) individuals have had on history–locally, nationally, and internationally.

GCPS celebrates individual as we cultivate a culture of belonging while leading with empathy, equity, and excellence to ensure that students, families and staff feel welcome, safe, accepted, valued, and prepared for the future.

Today was a full circle moment as our graduating seniors returned to Rockbridge ES for our Senior Walk — right where it all began. Watching them walk the halls once again reminded us how far they’ve come and all that they will continue to accomplish. We are so proud to celebrate this milestone and be a small part of the foundation that helped shape their journey. Go Mustangs! 🎓🩵🐴

Today we celebrated an incredible group of 5th graders as they reached an important milestone. We are so proud of the growth, leadership, and memories made this year, and we know middle school is gaining an amazing group of students. Congratulations!
