Do you know and follow Brendon Buchard? Here is a little something he shared in an email:
"Everything changed when I stopped trying to manage my time… and started managing my mission." That is profound! Let me sopt and rethink what I am working so hard to do.
He goes on:
"I realized that if I didn’t create something meaningful, all the organizing in the world didn’t matter."
Meaningful- like in making a difference in the lives of people, of children, and families.
Brendon, "So I made a new rule...
I implemented three shifts:
I defined my mission for the day.
I blocked time for what I call prolific quality output.
I protected that time like it was a meeting with my future."
That is intentional, not procrastinational!
He shares, "The result?
I now finish one needle-mover by early afternoon, and I let everything else orbit around that.
Not perfect.
Not polished.
Done."
DONE, FINISHED - those are words of accomplishment!
