Back in November, GLS participated in a Young Artists illustration contest. Students were able to create and illustrate their own original monsters. Many schools in the nation participated, and in February, we found out that GLS had been selected as one of the final 12 schools! Our drawings, along with those of 11 other schools in the nation, were published in an original book called "Monster Madness." While that in itself is an awesome achievement, Bennett Ihrke's monster illustration was chosen as the grand prize winner! His monster appears as the cover art for the book, and he received a gift bag of prizes! Congratulations to our GLS artists and to Bennett! To God be the glory!
