Forbes recently highlighted the preparedness infrastructure developed in the U.S. following the 2014 Ebola outbreak, including the role of NETEC and the National Special Pathogen System (NSPS).
NETEC coordinates the NSPS, a national network that includes 13 Regional Emerging Special Pathogen Treatment Centers (RESPTCs) with biocontainment units, trained teams, and expertise in managing high-consequence infectious diseases such as Ebola.
As the current Bundibugyo Ebola outbreak continues to evolve, the article emphasizes the importance of sustained coordination between healthcare systems, public health agencies, and preparedness partners nationwide.
