Since 1950, our Athletics staff and University community have worked alongside partners across Omaha to help create a world-class experience for student-athletes, coaches and fans.

We're proud to continue supporting a tradition that brings together eight teams, thousands of fans and the best of college baseball each June. ⚾

Who's ready for the College World Series? 👇

For Joey Gardner, marketing and creative service manager at the College World Series of Omaha, Inc., Creighton's Master of Science in Organizational Leadership was part of his vision to be a leader in college athletics.

Among many lessons learned in the program, Gardner says decision-making skills and the confidence to carry out decisions make a daily impact.

“The ability to trust myself and the decisions that I make was a big takeaway for me,” he says, especially in his role where he interacts with diverse individuals—including season-ticket holders and Division I administrators and stakeholders.

But he’s ready to face every curveball. The son of a teacher, Gardner is a firm believer that "the best leaders never stop learning.”
