Today we honor Juneteenth, commemorating June 19, 1865: The day enslaved African Americans in Texas learned of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As a Jesuit school, Creighton Prep is committed to forming men for others. Together, we pause in remembrance of this important moment in our nation's history.

Jr. Jays all over the world! Prep students recently traveled to Italy and Greece, stopping in cities like Rome, Florence, Delphi, Benevento and Pompeii. This is just a snapshot of the beautiful sights they were able to see!

Let us pray in thanksgiving for the life of Fr. George R. Sullivan, SJ, ’62, Creighton Prep’s 27th president. In addition to his June 27th services in Wisconsin, a memorial Mass will be held in Omaha in the fall, with a location and date to be determined.

Sullivan, George R. (Father) - Midwest Province Let us pray in thanksgiving for the life of Fr. George R. Sullivan, SJ, who died on May 31, 2026 at St. Camillus Jesuit Community in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. He was 82 years old. May he rest in peace.

So incredibly grateful for our Jesuit Schools Network community! Recently, our Jr. Jays encountered a long delay during their stopover in Miami, Florida. They were on their way to (and have returned safely from) the Dominican Republic for our immersion trip in coordination with the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC-Creighton).

During this long layover in Miami, they were welcomed by our brothers and peers at Belen Jesuit Preparatory School! Many, many thanks for opening your doors to our Creighton Prep travelers at a moment's notice.

During this time, there will be no one at the main desk to answer calls or provide access through the west entrance. In-office schedules for high school office personnel will also be flexible.
