Congratulations to Central High English teacher Jen Stastny for receiving the Nebraska Writing Project Carol McDaniel Teacher of the Year Award for teaching writing!

Congratulations to 2026 CHS grad Adelan Gholami. He is one of fifty-two students from Nebraska's high school graduating class of 2026 who achieved a perfect score of 36 on the ACT. This accomplishment—representing less than one-tenth of one percent of test-takers nationwide—was celebrated by Governor Jim Pillen and the Nebraska Department of Education.

These four Eagles represented Central at Cornhusker Girls State in Lincoln this month, a tradition CHS has participated in since 1939.
