Bring These Fun Classes to Life! Another chance to teach at the Learning Center!

Join us in making homeschooling easier, richer, and more enjoyable. We’ll provide plenty of creative activity ideas, so you can have fun right along with your students!

• STEAM Ahead! ages 5-8, 12pm: Finally, younger kids can get into the STEAM action! Just like their older siblings, they will do an egg drop, build bridges, make art with chemicals, build a catapult, make marble runs, and much more! [Note STEAM = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math]

• Story Shenanigans ages 3-5, 11am: Storybooks provide a rich foundation to create a love of learning for so many subjects! This class will use beloved characters and themes in books such as Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Little Blue Truck, The Very Hungry Caterpillar and more, expanding them to spark learning in different disciplines like letters, math, science and art. You’ll be amazed by the learning journey your child takes with these favorites!

Teachers are paid $240 for a 12-week semester. No certification is required, and free babysitting is available for children ages 5 and under.

Classes meet Wednesdays at 124th & Center, September 2–December 2.

The Omaha Homeschool Learning Center offers more than 90 courses each semester for over 500 students, with classes for many ages so the whole family can learn together.

Classes meet on Wednesdays at Southwest Church of Christ, 124th and West Center. Most courses are 50 minutes long and run for 12 weeks in both the fall and spring.

Volunteer families typically pay $88 per 12-week course, compared with the standard $120 tuition. Most courses also have a supply fee listed in the course description.

The Learning Center needs a replacement sign language teacher for 2 classes this fall. We have a 6-11 year old class and a class for ages 12 and up at 11 am and noon. We have curriculum that use can use or adapt.

For the two classes, teachers are paid $480 for the 12-week semester. No certification is required, and free babysitting is available for children ages 5 and under.

Would you love to teach a preschool class at noon on Wednesdays? We’ve got lots of ideas, and if you reply by MAY 21, you can choose what type of preschool class you’d like to teach. (After that, we’ll choose the theme, but you still teach.)

There are so many great options for this fun age, including:

Hands-On Math
Small World: Geography Studies
Cook N Book: Make a snack to go with a delightful picture book
