Starr is proud to host Safety Town every year for our OCS students and other local students. Today the first group of 2026 graduated!

A big thanks to Mrs. Kowalski, Officer Kohler, the Oregon Police Department, Oregon Fire Department, Oregonian Club, and the City of Oregon. Also, thank you to the Fassett students for being the teachers and Clay Construction Management program for the Safety Town rebuild! One final thanks to all of the community organizations who sponsored a building.

Our staff has been keeping track, and the final numbers are in. From December through today, our amazing students earned a grand total of...

🐾 35,883 BULLDOG BUCKS! 🐾

That represents nearly 36,000 times a student was caught making a good choice. Parents, thank you for raising such kind, hardworking kids!

Shoutout to our staff for putting together an awesome assembly, and congratulations to all our prize winners. Have a safe, fun, and wonderful summer, Bulldogs! ☀️😎

We were so excited to reward so many of our students for their excellent attendance over the last two days with a special breakfast! 🍩 🧃

Students who missed fewer than 10 days during the year were invited to breakfast with teachers and staff. 🏫

Overall, 324 students met the requirement. We’re so proud of our Bulldogs for believing that Attendance Matters! 🌟

Oregon's Safety Town gets a rebuild as Starr Elementary prepares for June class - The Press Safety Town, which is a program at Starr Elementary that helps teach four- and five-year-old children safety lessons, is getting a full rebuild thanks to generous help from the community, including construction from Clay High School students.
