🎪✨ Hive Highlight: Paula Gomez (B.F.A., fashion, 2026) transforms the drama of circus and theater into high-fashion eveningwear. 
 
From mastering the fundamentals to debuting her senior collection, Paula credits her SCAD professors’ expertise for shaping her dream of becoming a fashion designer into reality. Her standout crystallized salt cape took nine months to create, while collaborations with SCAD senior accessory design major River Cascade (river cascade) added custom bags, purses, and a hat to complete the collection.

When ATL prepared for its biggest global audience yet, the FIFA World Cup Atlanta Host Committee turned to SCAD for our expertise in wayfinding, public art, storytelling, and fan engagement.

Tucked inside the ground floor of Jen Library on Broughton Street, this chic new SCAD listening lounge invites Bees to slow down, tune in, and fall headlong into an aural dreamland of deep cuts, B-sides, and hits old, new, and undiscovered. Press Play surrounds students with a SCAD-designed, Jon Batiste-curated archive of vinyl, soundproof recording booths, and a cozy atmosphere made for research, reflection, and relaxation—where homework meets headphones and every visit sparks a new soundtrack. 💛🎶🐝

At the atelier of dear friend, empress of couture, Met Gala legend, and SCAD mom Guo Pei, where imagination takes form, one luminous stitch at a time. ✨ Visiting her in China felt like stepping inside a dream, each dress replete with wonder, history, and   extraordinary technique.

In Beijing, I had the pleasure of stepping behind the storied walls of The Palace Museum (known as the Forbidden City) with SCAD alum Zhao Xiaoyi (M.A., arts administration, 2016). As Operations Director of the Department of Cultural Creativity, Zhao stewards the reputation and prestige of this internationally renowned heritage site with care and expertise.
