On this Father’s Day, our President, Ernesto Vázquez Martínez, extends a message of recognition and appreciation to all the fathers who are part of our university community. 💙

By 1973, the first bachelor's degree programs in Civil Engineering and Land Surveying were launched. We were the first institution to offer these types of programs in Puerto Rico's metropolitan area.

Imagining Since 1966

Agronomist Ernesto Vázquez Torres's vision was to create a university in the heart of the metropolitan area committed to educating professional engineers and land surveyors. As a result, Universidad Politécnica opened its doors.
