Hey Eagle Families!
We hope your summer has been AMAZING so far—full of sunshine, adventures, and maybe even a little extra sleep. Before we soar into a brand‑new school year, we’ve put together a few fun and easy things you can do as a family to help your student start the year strong.
✨ Get ParentSquare Ready
Make sure your ParentSquare app is fully set up and notifications are turned on. This is not only where you’ll find the latest school news—it’s also where you can communicate with your student’s teachers, see what they’re working on in class, and stay connected with school updates all year long. If you have ParentSquare questions, access issues, or need help getting set up, please contact [email protected].
✨ Update Skyward Information
Double‑check that your address, email, phone numbers, and emergency contacts are accurate in Skyward. In the event of an emergency, we must have the most up‑to‑date contact information for your family. To update any information in Skyward, please reach out to our school registrar: [email protected].
✨ Follow Us Everywhere
Along with ParentSquare, we use our school Facebook and Instagram pages to share fun updates, important reminders, and school news. Sometimes information can be missed on ParentSquare, so be sure to follow us on social media to stay fully up to date! You’ll also find Meet the Teacher details and supply lists for the 26/27 school year posted soon.
✨ Talk Goals With Your Student
Summer is the perfect time to set goals as a family for the upcoming school year. If your student struggled in a subject—like ELA—consider setting goals such as using more school resources, attending peer mentoring, checking in with counselors, or learning how to navigate Canvas and Skyward together to better track grades and assignments. We’re here to help every step of the way.
✨ 7th Grade Families — Tdap Time!
All incoming 7th graders must have updated Florida shot records reflecting a recent Tdap immunization. We have already contacted families who do not have one on file. If you are unsure of your student’s status, please reach out to our school registrar: [email protected].

Corner Lake Middle School is excited to welcome Mrs. Pavlonnis as our new Assistant Principal. With more than twenty‑five years of experience as an educator, instructional coach, district leader, and assistant principal, she brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for helping middle school students thrive. She holds degrees and endorsements from UT, UCF, and UF, and she enjoys running and spending time outdoors. We are thrilled to have her join our Eagle family.
At the same time, we want to share how proud we are of Dr. Hyser, who has been named the new Principal of Glenridge Middle School. While we will miss her greatly, we know she will continue to make a tremendous impact in her new role.
As Dr. Hyser begins this exciting next chapter, we are grateful to welcome an exceptional new leader to Corner Lake. Our work of supporting students, strengthening our community, and helping every Eagle soar will continue without missing a beat.
Please join us in giving Mrs. Pavlonnis a warm Corner Lake welcome! 🦅

It’s hard to believe that in just a few days, the students who once walked into the Lake with uncertainty and a few nerves will be heading off to high school. They’ve grown, achieved so much, hit milestone after milestone, made lasting impressions on our teachers and staff, and created memories that will stay with us forever.
While we’re sad to see them go, we couldn’t be more proud to watch them spread their wings and soar into this next chapter.
Thank you to all of our 8th grade families for the support, the love, and the countless ways you’ve helped get them here. This is what true teamwork looks like. And a special thank you to the families who volunteered their time, energy, and resources to make today possible. We are so grateful.
Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.🦅🤍

We are down to our final stack of yearbooks, and once they’re gone… they’re gone. If we don’t sell the remaining copies, the school is responsible for the cost — so we’re asking our Eagle families to help us finish strong!
Yearbooks are $35 and can be purchased through SchoolCash Online. After purchasing, students should bring their receipt to Mr. Meneses to pick up their book.
This is truly first-come, first-served, and we expect them to go quickly — so don’t wait!
✨ 8th Grade Families: If you weren’t able to purchase a yearbook earlier in the year, this is the perfect chance to grab one so your student can fully participate in the 8th Grade Day yearbook signing celebration. We want every Eagle to be part of the fun!
Thank you for helping us close out the year with pride and memories your students will treasure.
