Every student is different, but I recommend about halfway into the year they start taking Algebra 2 or the fall semester of their Junior year — whichever comes first.” The third slide reads “Why is the ACT important? The ACT serves as a college entrance exam and is required by all public universities in Florida. Additionally, this test score (or the SAT/CLT) is one of the components of Bright Futures, and if you earn the appropriate score along with other requirements, you can save over $18,000 in tuition!” The fourth slide reads “Is the ACT better than the SAT? Nope! Universities view the ACT and SAT the same way. However, choosing the right test is about the student! The student’s likes/dislikes when taking a test, math coursework, and other variables impact which test is a better fit.” The fifth and final slide reads “Who will be teaching the ACT Prep Class? Me! I will be teaching the course focused on logic and navigating each section. We will review content, strategy, and test-taking skills. June is Caribbean American Heritage Month, a month near and dear to the hearts of our Co-Founders 💛

Each June, we remember and honor the contributions of Caribbean people to American history, life, and culture. For our Co-Founders, that includes honoring their family lineage and expressing gratitude to the people in their lives who have made this work possible. Witnessing their determination to learn and grow in everything they did sparked our mission to inspire lifelong learning. And for that, we are so grateful.
