This week, eight of our AMS FFA members participated in the 98th annual Florida state FFA convention, which is held every year right here in Orlando. 💙🤍🐾🙌🏼👏🏼🎉

Our members learned lots of great information while attending workshops, met other students from all around the state, and walked across the stage in front of over 5000 other members and guests to collect their awards.

At Avalon Middle School, Summer is a time for Service! Our NJHS Officers came in for a Team Building to prepare for the next school year. Our new officers learned about leadership and leadership styles, created a “Leadership Coat of Arms” that represents them, reorganized the SAC Sponsored Supply Closet, and discussed our vision and theme for next year. They also built “Superhero” Boxes to donate to Family Partnerships of Central Florida to give to kids in foster care for back to school. 💙🤍🐾

Thank you to the Lester family for donating a delicious lunch for our officers and thank you Big Frog for the amazing Officer shirts! 👏🏼👏🏼

Is your child planning to try out for a sport during the upcoming 2026-2027 school year? Here is what you need to know to get them cleared and ready for tryouts!

📋 The Checklist Before Tryouts:

Schedule a Sports Physical: All physicals must be completed before tryouts begin. Summer is a great time to get this done!

Upload to Aktivate: Once completed, upload the physical forms (all 4 physical pages) directly to RegisterMyAthlete (Aktivate).
