Yesterday, we had a STEAMtastic time at Super STEAMio Jump: 1985 🎮 field trip at St. John Vianney Catholic School - Colegio Bilingüe! Our STEAM Teams learned about the STEAM career of video game designer and the technological evolution of early video games from the 1970s to the 1980s. We explored the early life of the “Father of Modern Video Games,” Shigeru Miyamoto, and how his experiences impacted and shaped his designs. The STEAM Teams collaborated to plan, design, and construct an exciting “real-life” video game ride combining tracks and mini trampolines! To top it all off, we made pizza slime, with red sauce, mozzarella cheese, toppings, and all! 🍕

Early previews suggest the beloved toys may once again be fighting for kids’ attention — this time against tablets, devices, and digital distractions.
