📚☀️ Summer Reading Challenge! ☀️📚

Did you know that just 20 minutes of reading a day can make a huge difference in helping students maintain and strengthen their reading skills over the summer?

We want to know… ⭐ What are your child’s reading goals this summer? ⭐

Whether they’re diving into chapter books, graphic novels, audiobooks, or reading with a family member, every page counts!

Looking for ways to make reading even more exciting? Check out these fun summer reading programs that offer rewards, activities, and incentives:

🍕 Pizza Hut BOOK IT! Summer of Stories (fellow millennial parents this one is for us 😉)
Students in Pre-K through 6th grade can earn FREE Personal Pan Pizzas by meeting reading goals set by parents through the BOOK IT! app. The program runs June through August. (bookitprogram.com⁠)

📖 Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Program
Students in grades 1–6 can earn a FREE book by reading 8 books and completing a reading journal. Redeem your free book during July and August. (barnesandnobleinc.com⁠)

📚 Your Local Library
Make sure you grab your Orange County Library card this summer! Many local branches host free summer reading challenges, special events, story times, performers, prizes, and activities all summer long.
🪪 A library card also gets you access to books online via the Libby and OCLS apps!

We will be keeping our website updated all Summer long with resources and happenings around Orlando this summer for our families, so be sure to bookmark it!

What a SWEET finish to this year’s Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week! 🍋🌼💛

To our amazing faculty and staff: thank you for your patience, your dedication, your kindness, and the countless ways you show up for our Stars. We hope this week reminded you just how appreciated you truly are.

And to our wonderful PTA members, parent volunteers, donors, and supporters — THANK YOU for helping make this week possible. From early morning setups to decorating, food pickups, organizing prizes, switching rooms between breakfast and lunch, and making sure every detail came together… this week would not have happened without you. 💙

Today we wrapped up the week by judging our door decorating contest and WOW — our teachers understood the assignment! The creativity, humor, teamwork, and effort that went into these doors made choosing winners incredibly difficult. Every single one was thoughtful, fun, and beautifully done. 🌸🚪✨

Thank you again for helping us celebrate the heart of Andover this week. We are so lucky to have such an incredible school community!
