Spotlightβ¨: Fundraising Director Elect, Kathy Nguyen
Experience in Washington, D.C., to participate Student Policy Summit!
I had the incredible opportunity to represent UCF College of Nursing on Capitol Hill ποΈπ©Ί, where I met with legislators and their staff to advocate for the future of nursing. I spoke on the importance of increased funding for nursing education, workforce development programs, and research, and how these investments are critical to addressing the nursing shortage and improving patient outcomes. Being part of these conversations showed me how impactful it is when student nurses step into spaces where policy decisions are made.
This experience was truly eye-opening and reinforced that nursing goes far beyond the bedside. It highlighted the importance of advocacy and using our voices to help shape the future of healthcare. I am so proud to represent SNA and be part of a generation of nurses committed to leadership, policy, and meaningful change! Edit
