What a tiny tea party! 🫖

Students in our Children’s House program recently welcomed a special guest from home and proudly served them tea, demonstrating grace, courtesy, and independence. While the event is a joyful celebration, it also reflects the many skills students develop through Bowman’s Montessori education, from fine motor coordination to confidence and social awareness.

At Bowman, we believe that every stage of a child's journey deserves to be celebrated. During our Advancement Ceremony, we swore in our ASB leaders, celebrated our 10th grade students and their completion of the IB Middle Years Programme, honored our 8th grade students, and welcomed our 5th, 3rd, and Kindergarten students into the next chapter of their Montessori experience. It was a wonderful reminder that growth happens one step at a time, and every milestone is worth celebrating.

Our Secondary Level students recently presented the projects they have been working on as part of their journey through the IB Middle Years Programme. From supporting local animal shelters and educating younger students about climate change to exploring marine biology and even constructing a full-size greenhouse, these projects reflect months of dedication, creativity, and hard work. We are incredibly proud of the passion and purpose our students bring to their learning.

Our Athletic Banquet was a fitting celebration of a year filled with teamwork, determination, and growth. Athletes were recognized for their contributions, coaches shared reflections from the season, and everyone enjoyed looking back on memorable moments from games and competitions throughout the year. We are so proud of all our student athletes.

One of the core principles of Montessori education is following the child. This means trusting the process of growth by nurturing a harmony between support and trust. Rather than rushing to help or stepping too far back, Bowman educators carefully observe, guide, and support with intention. It is through this balance that our students develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.

While the performance was incredible, theater is about so much more than what happens under the spotlight. It is the hours of rehearsal, the choreography, the problem solving, the teamwork, the set changes, and the support students provide one another along the way. Through theater, students develop confidence, communication skills, collaboration, and resilience. These are lessons that extend far beyond the stage, and we are grateful to be part of their journey!

At Bowman, learning extends beyond the walls of the classroom. Whether students are working independently or learning together, our outdoor classroom spaces support mindfulness, concentration, quiet reflection, and a thoughtful connection with the natural world.

We are so proud of our boys volleyball team for an outstanding season. In the inaugural SSIL boys volleyball season, the Bowman Bees earned a spot in the playoffs and finished among the top four teams! Most importantly, the team consistently supported one another, celebrated each other’s growth, and had a great time playing together all season long. Go Bees!

Our 6th grade students recently took their learning on the road with an unforgettable trip to Los Angeles! From exploring museums to preparing their own meals, each day was filled with hands-on experiences that deepened their curiosity and independence. Trips like these help students grow as learners, thinkers, and global citizens.

As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to take one more moment to celebrate the incredible educators who make Bowman such a special place to learn and grow. Behind every meaningful lesson, encouraging conversation, and joyful classroom moment is a teacher whose patience, creativity, and dedication leave a lasting impact on our students each day.
